Terms
Last updated 13 October 2026
Da Capo is a private chord-sheet library, run by one person for himself and a few friends. It is free, it is not a business, and there is nothing to buy. These are the terms of using it, in plain language.
The app links to a page of its owner’s for anybody who wants to help with what it costs to run. That is voluntary: it buys nothing, nothing in the app depends on it, and no payment passes through the app.
Who can use it
Whoever has been invited. Sign-in is refused to any address not on the invitation list, and an invitation can be withdrawn at any time. Do not share your sign-in link — it is the whole of your account.
The songs
Da Capo does not write chord sheets. The songs in it are added by the people who use it, and it lays them out so they are easier to play from. The words and music belong to their authors and publishers, and the transcriptions belong to whoever made them.
What that means practically: this is a personal tool for playing music you are entitled to play, in the same way that writing chords in a notebook is. It is not a place to republish anything, which is why access is closed and why there is no way to make a library public. Do not use it to distribute material you do not have the right to.
What is not promised
Everything here is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. Chords may be wrong — they are somebody’s transcription, and the app does its best to read it. The app may be unavailable, may lose data, or may stop existing entirely; it runs on free hosting and free database tiers, and either could end. Keep your own copy of anything you would miss.
Nobody running this is liable for anything arising from using it. If that is not a trade you want to make, do not use it.
Ending it
Stop using it whenever you like, and ask at contact@dacapo.tech to have your account removed. An invitation may likewise be withdrawn — realistically, only if the app is being used for something it was not meant for.
